Single Crochet Thermal Stitch Beanie Pattern

Single crochet thermal stitch beanie pattern free

Fits 21 inch diameter head 9 inch height with a 2 inch fold that works as the rim.

This 11 inch crochet cap in single crochet thermal stitch is in fine yarn and makes a lining unnecessary without sacrificing the warmth in extreme cold winter. It weighs just 50 gm.

This one is in a shaded yarn, Heartbeat Shawlie Shade number 5, 8% Mohair, 8%Wool, 84% Acrylic. It doesn't shrink and is machine washable. No change of yarns here.

Chain and measure your head, stretching the chain a little. Mine was 19 inches. I started with a 3.5 mm 9 no. crochet hook & after crocheting upto 8 inches I used a 3.25 mm 10 no. crochet hook for upto 9 inches. Then reduced a line by crocheting 2 tog (2 crochet-stitches together) in the row. Using 3 mm 11 number crochet hook, after this reduce the next row had a neat look. Continued to upto 10 inch with the 3 mm hook then reduced another row using 2 together technique & changed to 2.75 mm 12 number crochet hook after that.

No reduces for upto 10.75 inch then reduced 2 together in the next row and made a few more rows to reach 11 inches & sewed the top close.
