Gulab Jamun Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup gulab jamun (prepared, store-bought, or homemade)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, melted ghee, and milk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and cardamom powder.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until smooth.
  5. Fold in chopped gulab jamun gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool before serving.

Decoration Ideas:

  • Icing Sugar: Dust with icing sugar for a snowy effect.
  • Gulab Jamun: Place a few gulab jamun on top for decoration.
  • Rose Petals: Garnish with edible rose petals for a traditional touch.
